The Land & The Story: The Western Ghats are a long chain of emerald-green mountains near the sea. When the monsoon clouds arrive, these mountains turn into a magical, misty wonderland! There are hundreds of beautiful waterfalls that roar and splash down the rocky cliffs. This place is home to the Malabar Giant Squirrel, which has a long purple and orange tail. The air here always smells like fresh rain and sweet flowers. These forests are very old and have trees that are hundreds of years tall. It is one of the brightest and greenest places in the whole world. Pack your raincoat, because it showers a lot here!
