🎨 Heritage DIY: The Sacred Scroll of Sharada Peeth 📜

The Inspiration: Sharada Peeth, located in today's Pakistan-Administered Kashmir, was once one of the most famous universities in the world! It was dedicated to Goddess Sharada (the Goddess of Learning) and scholars from all over India and Asia would travel there to study and write books.

🛠️ What You'll Need:

  • A piece of light brown paper (or white paper colored with a tea bag).
  • Two wooden sticks or pencils.
  • Markers or a pen.
  • String or ribbon.
  • Glue.

📝 Step-by-Step:

  1. Age the Paper: If using white paper, rub a damp, used tea bag over it to make it look like ancient parchment! Let it dry.
  2. Attach the Rollers: Glue a stick or pencil to the top edge and the bottom edge of your paper.
  3. Write the "Secret" Script: Sharada Peeth had its own script called Sharada Lipi. Try writing your name or a message using symbols that look like ancient letters.
  4. Decorate: Draw a picture of a lotus or a peacock (Goddess Sharada's symbols) on your scroll.
  5. Roll and Tie: Roll the paper around the sticks from both ends until they meet in the middle. Tie it with a string or ribbon.

🇮🇳 Proud to be Indian: Thousands of years ago, India was the world's center for higher learning. People came from everywhere to study at Sharada Peeth, making it a "Knowledge Capital" of the ancient world!

💡 Big Word: Lipi (लिपि) - A system of writing or a script used to record a language.

⚠️ Safety Note: Be careful when using glue and wait for the paper to dry completely before rolling.
